CrackerJack Mudjacking is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including visitors with visual, hearing, motor or cognitive disabilities.

The standard we are working to

We are working toward the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities.

To be straightforward with you: this website has been built with accessibility in mind, but it has not yet been through a formal third party accessibility audit. We describe our conformance as partial rather than claiming full compliance we have not independently verified.

What we have done

• Every photograph on the site carries descriptive alternative text, so screen reader users get a meaningful description of what each image shows rather than a filename
• Pages use a single main heading and a logical heading structure, so the page can be navigated by headings
• Semantic HTML is used for navigation, sections, lists and links rather than generic containers
• Links and buttons show a visible focus outline when reached with a keyboard
• Interactive elements can be reached and operated with a keyboard
• Text and background colors were chosen with contrast in mind, particularly white text over photographs
• Layouts are responsive and reflow for small screens and for magnified viewing
• Form fields use real labels and autocomplete attributes rather than placeholder text alone

Known limitations

We would rather tell you about these than have you find them:

• The before and after comparison sliders on our projects and services pages are dragged with a pointer. The same information is described in the caption and body text beneath each one, but the slider itself is not currently operable by keyboard.
• Some project photographs are detailed close ups of concrete damage. The alternative text describes what the photograph shows, but fine detail such as an exact measurement on a tape may not be fully conveyed.
• The site has not been tested with every combination of assistive technology and browser.
• Third party components, such as embedded analytics, are not under our direct control.

We are working on the keyboard operability of the comparison sliders. If any of these limitations prevent you from getting the information you need, contact us and we will give it to you directly.

If you cannot use part of this website

Call us. If any page, form or image on this site is not accessible to you, we will provide the same information over the phone and take your project details that way. You will not be disadvantaged by using a different method to reach us.

Our estimate process does not require you to use the website at all. You can call or text to arrange everything, including describing your concrete and receiving a quote.

Tell us about a problem

We welcome reports of accessibility problems. When you contact us, it helps if you can tell us the page address, what you were trying to do, and what assistive technology or browser you were using. We will respond and let you know what we can do.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is not a one time task. As we add pages to this website we check new content against the same standards, and we review the site periodically. This statement will be updated as things change.
